Rhyl's iconic bridge plans unveiled to public

A model of a proposed foot and cycle bridge over the Foryd Harbour, Rhyl, together with exhibitions outlining the plans are set to go on public display.

Both the model and exhibitions will be available to the public at Rhyl Library between October 19 and 31 and at Kinmel Bay Library between November 9 and 20 .

In early June, the transport charity Sustrans, Denbighshire County Council and the Welsh Assembly Government unveiled an iconic design for the new foot/cycle bridge and announced that Dawnus Construction had been selected following a design competition. The bridge construction will form part of the overall masterplan to develop the Harbour area.

Earlier in the summer, a series of exhibitions and public events were arranged in Rhyl and Kinmel Bay. The latest exhibition is another opportunity for people to learn more about the plans and to see the model of the proposed development.

The design is on-going and further work required about its operation needs to be agreed with the various partners.
