Abergele police release e-fit after man approaches teenager

Police in the Abergele area are further appealing for information following an incident in the town where a motorist stopped his car and told to a teenager to get into his vehicle.

At around 5pm on Thursday, September 17, a 15-year-old girl was walking along the Broadway close to its junction with Llanddulas Road, when a small silver car pulled up alongside her. The driver, who was the only occupant, got out of the vehicle told her to get into the car.

A light blue van being driven by a man pulled up behind the silver car and its driver beeped the horn. The silver car then drove off. The silver car was last seen turning right at the top of the Broadway onto the Dale towards Tan-y-Gopa Road.

The 15-year-old was unharmed and made her way home.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information to contact officers. The driver of the silver coloured car is described as being white, in his mid 50’s, of slim build and is believed to be between 5ft6 and 5ft 8’ tall. He is also described as having dark grey hair with large round thick glasses and was wearing a green and red tartan style shirt with a similar style and coloured jumper.

The Police have released an e-fit image of the man they wish to speak to in connection with this investigation and would appeal to anyone who believe that they recognise this man who may own or have access to a small silver car to contact them.

Anyone with information should contact officers at St Asaph CID on 101 (If in Wales) or 0845 6071001 (Welsh language line) 0845 6071002 (English language line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
