Appeal: Fire in Penrhyndeudraeth

Police in the Penrhyndeudraeth area are appealing for witnesses and information following a fire at an ironmongers shop in the town.

Officers were alerted at 21.43 yesterday (Tuesday, September 22) by the Fire Service to the blaze at the shop on Bank Place.

Police are treating the fire as suspicious and are investigating the incident in conjunction with the Fire Service.

Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of the shop, has information regarding the incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously yesterday evening to contact police on 101 (if in Wales) or 0845 6071001 (Welsh language line) 0845 6071002 (English language line). Individuals can also contact Crimestoppers with information anonymously on 0800 555 111.
