Appeal for information following fatal crash in Caerphilly

Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on Monday night, 31st August.

The collision occurred at approximately 9.35pm on the A468, Caerphilly and involved a Renault Clio and a Ford KA.

The driver of the Renault Clio, a 17 year old boy from Caerphilly, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford KA, a 28 year old woman from Porth, was conveyed to the University of Wales Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The road was temporarily closed overnight.
