Assault in Caernarfon

A man is currently in police custody after being arrested following an incident in the Caernarfon area during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 16th September).

Shortly after 02:30 police received a report by the Ambulance Service that a man had been found with leg injuries outside an address on Cefn Cadnant.

The 33-year-old was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor where he remains with serious leg injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

He is believed to have been assaulted by two men.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. He was transferred from custody to Ysbyty Gwynedd with serious hand injuries, where he currently remains under arrest. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

One male suspect remains outstanding, and enquiries are ongoing to identify him.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact officers at Caernarfon Police Station on 101, if calling from Wales or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
