Athletic no match for mighty Quins

Cardiff Quins and Pontyclun began the season in emphatic fashion with convincing victories in the opening fixtures of the Women's Premier Division.

Cardiff Quins were in rampant mood against Neath Athletic to record a 59-7 win while Pontyclun secured a 30-5 victory at Seven Sisters.

In Division 1 East Gweernyfed were no match for Blaenau Gwent with the visitors romping away to an 80-10 triumph. In the other match Abercwmboi disposed of Blackwood with a 35-0 triumph.

On a day of high scores, north Walians Dolgellau strolled to a 76-0 whitewash of Whitland. In a closely fought affair, Waunarlwydd edged out home side Cowbridge 20-14 while in the remaining match Kidwelly defeated Amman United 21-0.
