Barmouth lifeboat in action for stranded powerboat

Barmouth Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) was launched at lunchtime on Friday, September 11 when an 18-foot powerboat got into difficulties.

The boat, with two men from Telford on board, had suffered mechanical failure four miles out from Caerddaniel Caravan Site. The boat was taken in tow by the RNLI ILB and delivered safely to the coastguard on the beach at Caerddaniel.

The lifeboat also launched on Monday, September 14 to reports of a flare, which turned out to be a false alarm with good intent.
