SCOPE Community Action Group, working in partnership with Keep Wales Tidy, recently won the group category in the Wales Volunteer of the Year Awards.
To celebrate their achievement, Mayor Cllr Emlyn Williams invited members of SCOPE for a visit to the Mayor's Parlour and tour of the Central Library.
The group received the award in recognition of their commitment and service to the community and for always smiling and being cheerful whatever the weather.
Rhian Thomas, Scope’s Manager of Sully Skills Development Centre, said: “We are very pleased to receive this award and enjoy being involved in the community. We feel appreciated for the service we provide and thank the people who recommended us.”
