Dolgellau play area damaged

Police are appealing for witnesses after a play area in Dolgellau was damaged.

Sometime during the day on Wednesday, 9th September, damage was caused to a see-saw at the Dolgellau children’s park, whereby it had been uncoiled and removed.

Local Community Beat Manager PC Geraint Jones said: “It’s taken several years of hard work to provide this facility for the children of Dolgellau, and it’s been heavily used by those children and their parents over the summer months. Arrangements are being made for the see-saw to be repaired.

“I’m appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the damage being caused, or anyone who may have information to contact us.”

Regular patrols are being conducted in the area and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information should contact officers at Dolgellau Police Station on 101, if calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
