On Friday 18th September hostel staff and key workers across the city will be distributing camera packs to those interested in entering the competition.
Those taking part have 24 hours to use the film on the theme of change.
The entries will be judged on 30th September by Hannah Firth, Head of Visual Arts, Chapter Arts and Lisa Edgar, Head of Education, Ffotogallery. 40 images will be selected for exhibition with the top three images being awarded a prize.
The exhibition will be previewed at the Frontline Workers Forum which will take place on 16th October 2009 at City Hall.
Executive Member for Communities, Housing and Social Justice, Cllr Judith Woodman, said: “Last year’s photos highlighted the plight of those who are homeless and I hope that this year the competition will again raise awareness. The competition offers participants the opportunity to express their feeling and helps to document their lives to a wider audience.”
