New youth centre for Flint opens

Flint’s new Youth Centre will be officially launched on Thursday, 24 September at 7pm.

The Centre is linked to the Pavilion Leisure Centre, and adjacent to the town's skate park.

Rob Edwards, County Youth and Community Officer, said: "It is very exciting to be launching a new facility for young people in Flint.

The Centre has been adapted and equipped to a very high standard, based on the views of young people, and it looks fantastic.

The works have been funded by Flintshire County Council's capital programme and by a Youth Work Strategy Grant from the Welsh Assembly Government.

The Centre includes a space for group discussions and playing games, a project room, an ICT suite and an activity hall. Feedback from young people has been extremely positive.
