A treat for music lovers

Library users across the Caerphilly county borough are in for a musical treat at their local library this September.

Next month, the Library Service is hosting a series of free concerts of authentic Carnatic (South Indian Classical) music by visiting musicians from India. The musicians, who normally accompany pioneering dance company, India Dance Wales, will be appearing at four libraries prior to joining the company for a nationwide touring production in October.

The 23rd September sees them at Nelson Library at 10.30am and at Risca Library at 1.30pm. This is followed by concerts at Abertridwr Library at 10.30am and Ystrad Mynach Library at 1.30pm on the 30th September.

All concerts are free of charge and everyone is welcome. Please contact the individual libraries for further details.
