World's Biggest Coffee Morning

It's that time of year again and everyone's getting ready for the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.

In aid of A great Macmillan Cancer Support people up and down the country are having fun with their family and friends and joining thousands of others in changing the lives of people affected by cancer.

The first event in Wales we've heard of this year is to be held all on the25th September all over the country. Our event is to be held at the Canton Community Hall where there is also a soft play session with ride ons and a bouncy castle for little ones so it's aimed at mum's with small children. It starts at 9.30 and finishes at 11.30. There will be tea, coffee, squash, biscuits cakes, raffle, bric a brac and lucky dips.

Holding your own coffee morning is simple and easy...

1. Choose a date. The official day is Friday 25 September, but you can hold your coffee morning whenever you want. We'd just love you to do it for Macmillan.

2. Invite your friends and family round. Or how about putting the kettle on for all your colleagues? From the local park to your children's school, your coffee morning can take place wherever you like. Send your invitations by email, text or over facebook to make things even easier for yourself.

3. Pour coffee, brew tea, bake or just buy some cakes and encourage everyone to take part. All they need to do is contribute 15 minutes of their time, their conversation and, most of all, a small donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

See http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Get_Involved/Worlds_Biggest_Coffee_Morning/WBCM_home.aspx for details.

Remember to let us know about your event and we'll give it a mention.

  1. Julie Morgan MP has her usual one in the coffee place in Whitchurch village - roughly opposite the police station - can't remember the name as it's changed recently - I'll send you more details when I get them
