Cardiff events to show consumers their rights

It's National Consumer Week next week and Cardiff Trading Standards is running a number of events with Consumer Direct Wales to educate consumers on their rights.

New students will be visited during the Freshers' Fayres at UWIC and the University of Wales and Trading Standards and Consumer Direct will be in the St David's Centre and the market.
The full programme is:

  • Tuesday, September 15: St David's Centre
  • Friday, September 18 and Tuesday, September 22 Cardiff University Freshers' Fayres
Councillor Judith Woodman, Cardiff Council Executive Member for Communities, Housing and Social Justice said: "We work all year round to ensure that the city's residents and visitors enjoy the highest levels of consumer protection. National Consumer Week provides an opportunity for us to raise awareness of consumer rights and to arm shoppers and local students with crucial information."
