There was also a special award - the Mayor’s Choice Award - presented by Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Mayor Cllr Robert Smith to David Jenkins of Cowbridge for the wooden clock he had created.
Cllr Smith said: “The County Show is well-established, attracting entrants from neighbouring counties and from as far afield as Somerset. It was wonderful to see all the items on display - well done to everyone who took part.”
The Welsh National Dahlia Show was also hosted during the weekend, and there was a craft fayre. Visitors to the free event also had a chance to see chef Geoff Tookey serving up some recipes.
