A sense of community is very important to any neighbourhood and to celebrate their suburb Rumney Community Partnership in association with Communities First have organised a community fun day on Saturday 19th September at Greenway Park, Rumney.
Celebrations begin at noon and will feature events including Army assault courses, karaoke and a performance from Cardiff-based Fahrenheit Dance Troupe.
Radio Cardiff will also be on hand to entertain the crowds and will offer people the chance to have a go at rapping and MC-ing.
Executive Member for Communities, Housing and Social Justice, Cllr Judith Woodman, said: "The Rumney community fun day is a great way to bring neighbours together and boost community spirit. The day gives local’s the opportunity to celebrate Rumney and I would like to thank all those involved for organising the day. I am positive it will be a great success.”
Local resident and member of the Rumney Community Partnership, Mike Thomas, said:
“We have organised the day to bring members of the Rumney community together to have fun and enjoy themselves. The event continues to go from strength to strength each year.”
