North Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an incident at a bicycle shop in Wrexham during the early hours of this morning (Monday, 28th September).
Shortly after 3am a car was driven through the shop window on Stansty Road, causing substantial structural damage. The car then drove off at speed towards the general direction of Plas Coch.
Nothing is believed to have been stolen during the incident and police are appealing to anyone who may have information to come forward.
Nearby CCTV images have been viewed and the offenders are believed to have been checking the premises whilst on foot prior to committing the offence, and officers are particularly keen on speaking to a member of the public who walked past the offenders during this time, as he or she may have vital information that could assist police.
The vehicle – a silver coloured Golf which is believed to have been stolen was later found abandoned in Acton Park.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding this incident, or to anybody who may have been in or around the area of Stansty Road during the early hours of this morning to contact officers at Wrexham Police Station on 101, if calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
