Caerphilly county borough council is backing young X Factor hopeful and former Lewis School pupil Lloyd Daniels on his road to pop stardom.
Lloyd, aged 16 from Treharris, appeared at the recent X Factor auditions in Cardiff and impressed Sheryl, Simon and Louis with his rendition of R Kelly's 'If I could turn back the hands of time' after a nervous start.
Cheryl Cole went on to tell him: "You are the first person I'm going to say 'You've got the X Factor' to."
CCBC cabinet member for education, Cllr Phil Bevan, said, "We are all backing Lloyd to win the X Factor and it's great to see a former pupil excel in such a public arena. Lloyd first discovered his singing ability while at Lewis School, Pengam and he has also performed at special concerts held at the council offices to help encourage our talented youngsters to shine. We wish him the best of luck on his musical journey and he can count on our support as he progresses through the competition."
The whole community is behind Lloyd and everyone has big hopes for the talented singer as he progresses on to 'boot camp' along with the other X Factor hopefuls.
