Police inquiries underway into unexplained death

At 9.51am today (Sunday, September 13) police were called to an address in Aquarium Street, Rhyl, following a call from the Ambulance Service reporting that a man had been taken to hospital.

The man later died at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.

Police are currently treating the death as unexplained and a forensic examination of the scene is currently on-going.

The street was initially cordoned off and residents were evacuated from their properties as a measure of precaution following the discovery of a chemical substance which is currently being examined.

The majority of residents have returned to their homes.

The next of kin have been informed and are being supported by police.

There are no further details at present.
