Enhancing coastal infrastructure at Amlwch Port

The Isle of Anglesey County Council has commenced construction works to enhance existing coastal infrastructure at Amlwch Port.

The works include:
  • slipway improvements and general improvements to the harbour walls
These works will enhance the condition and overall quality of the existing coastal infrastructure at Amlwch Port to provide improved and safer opportunities for people to access the coastal zone.

The construction works is to commence on November 2nd 2009, and the works to the slipway are expected to be completed in 8 weeks, whilst repairs to the harbour walls are expected to be completed by March, 2010.

There will be no access to the slipway during the slipway construction works and restricted access to the harbour during the harbour wall repairs.

A Public Information Event has been arranged at The Memorial Hall, Amlwch on November 11th 2pm – 6pm.

The purpose of the event is to give the public an opportunity to ask questions or discuss the works that are on-going at Porth Amlwch as part of the Development of Anglesey’s Coastal Environment Project.
