The Head of Sport for BBC Wales, Haverfordwest-born Geoff Williams, was a guest of Pembrokeshire County Council Chairman, Councillor Anne Hughes, recently.
Geoff - an old boy of Haverfordwest Grammar School - learnt his trade with the Western Telegraph before joining the South Wales Echo in Cardiff.
At the BBC, his roles have included Senior Producer on Wales Today; Editor of Meet for Lunch and Editor of Radio Wales News and Managing Editor of Sport.
He was appointed Head of Sport earlier this year, succeeding former Olympic hurdler and ex-Cardiff and Wales rugby international, Nigel Walker.
Geoff was presented with a Council tie and a paperweight as a memento of his visit to County Hall, Haverfordwest.
