IF you think this is a just a cheap excuse to put up videos from Future of the Left - Welsh Icons' assistant editor's current favourite Welsh band - then you'd be right.

So here's The House That Hope Built by FotL, press play anyway, and wonder at the band playing in Cardiff's historic Vulcan pub, read on if you see fit.



A blog (and he's a great blogger) by lead singer Falco complained about the leaking of the band's latest album, Travels With Myself and Another, before its official release. This was picked up by The Guardian's music insider columnist Helienne Lindvall. The Guardian being what it is, the blog was immediately attacked with all manner of smartarsery (the proportion of Guardian commenters who on reading a blog instantly think, I could do better than that, is exceedingly high).
