Pontypridd Bus Service Changes

Public transport operator Veolia Transport is making a number of changes to their commercial bus services in the Pontypridd and surrounding areas shortly. These changes impact on some services that are subsidised by Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and also result in changes to stand allocations at Pontypridd Bus Station.

Passengers are advised that major changes will be taking place to the following services from September 7th 2009:

No. 11 (Pontypridd - Treforest)

No. 12 (Pontypridd - Oaklands)

No. 13 (Pontypridd - Upper Boat)

No. 14 (Pontypridd - Maesycoed)

No. 16 (Pontypridd - Penygraigwen & Pantygraigwen)

No. 17 (Pontypridd - The Common)

No. 20 (Pontypridd - Ynysybwl)

No. 21 (Pontypridd - Glyncoch)

Nos. 26 & 27 (Pontypridd - Aberdare)

No. 100 (Pontypridd - Royal Glamorgan Hospital).

As a result of these changes, there will also be some alterations to the departure bays used by several services in Pontypridd bus station.

In particular, Service 7 will be moved to Stand 7, Service 11 to Stand 2, Service 17 to Stand 6, Services 20 and 21 to Stand 3, Service 24 to Stand 5, Service 100 to Stand 2 and Service X6 to Aberdare and Cardiff will be moved to Stand 4.

The Council will be updating timetables at the bus station and at bus stops in preparation for the changes.
