THE Environment Agency is appealing to the public for information after hundreds of fish were found dead in the Afon Tarrell, a tributary of the Usk (pictured) near Brecon.
Environment Agency Wales were alerted to the dead trout by a member of the public and are investigating.
Anyone with information can contact the agency's free emergency hotline on 0800 807060.
An Environment Agency spokeswoman told the BBC: "We do ask people to call us if they have seen or heard anything."
