Tourists flocked to Tenby RNLI Lifeboat Station on Sunday to jump aboard the station’s £2.7M Tamar class lifeboat. Holiday-makers queued between 10am – 4.30pm for guided tours around the lifesaving vessel during the station’s annual open day.
The star attraction was the RNLI’s larger than life mascot Stormy Stan, who proved to be a big hit with families.
Bob James, RNLI Lifeboat Press Officer says:
‘It was an extremely busy open day and everyone had a fantastic time. The Tenby all-weather lifeboat launched during the afternoon for a short demonstration in front of a huge crowd of onlookers on Castle Hill.’
Crowds then moved to the harbour area to enjoy a live band and barbeque.
