The volunteer RNLI crew at Holyhead were called into action at 3pm yesterday (25 August) to assist three people on board a 15ft boat which got into difficulties north of the Skerries Lighthouse.
When the all-weather RNLI lifeboat arrived on scene, the boat was attached to a lobster pot float. The RNLI crew took the men on board and attached a tow to return to boat to the safety of Holyhead harbour.
Ray Steadman, Lifeboat Press Officer at Holyhead says:
‘There wind conditions were Force 6 with good visibility and moderate to rough seas.’
