Bank Robbery in Flint

Police are searching for four males believed to have been involved in a robbery at the Lloyds TSB Bank in Flint this morning.

The offenders entered the bank on Trelawney Square brandishing weapons before demanding cash from the bank staff.

They then left with a large amount of cash and made off in a green Jaguar car.

The Jaguar was later found burnt out in the Salibsury Street area of Flint and the offenders are believed to have got into a another car which made off in the direction of Deeside.

Two people suffered minor injuries during the incident – one was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital. Neither of those injured were members of the public or customers.

Detective Inspector Alun Oldfield said:

“I’d like to appeal for any witnesses who may have been in the Flint, Oakenholt or Deeside areas on the morning of Thursday, August 20, at about 11 am to make contact with us if they saw anything suspicious along the road from Deeside industrial estate into Flint. Anyone who may have a seen green Jaguar motor car in either the Oakenholr or Flint areas are asked to make contact with North Wales Police."
