Secondary Education in Rhyl Update: Ways to Have Your Say

Denbighshire County Council recently invited Rhyl residents to put forward their views on the future of secondary education (11-16 year olds) in Rhyl via attendance at roadshow events at the White Rose Centre, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons, Rhyl.

Unfortunately these roadshows had to be cancelled at short notice in the face of opposition from protestors.

However Denbighshire County Council now inviting residents to have their say on secondary education in Rhyl through filling out the questionnaire online at and following the questionnaire link.

Hard copies of the questionnaire can be requested by calling the Rhyl 11-16 Project Team on 01824 706076 or email to respond by post.

Alternatively residents can call the Rhyl 11-16 Project Team on 01824 706076 to respond to the questionnaire over the phone.

Hard copies of the questionnaire will also be available at Rhyl Town Hall’s One Stop Shop and Rhyl Library. Completed questionnaires can also be handed in at these locations too.

Responses to the questionnaire are being taken until Friday 25th September after which this part of the wider consultation on secondary education in Rhyl will close.

Deputy Cabinet Lead Member for lifelong Learning, Councillor Morfudd Jones, said: “It is very important that everyone has the chance to have their say during this consultation period so that all views can be taken into consideration.”
