A woman has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries following a road traffic collision on the A55 this morning, Sunday, August 16.
At 9.17am police received a report from the Ambulance Service that a two-vehicle collision had occurred on the eastbound carriageway near to the Flint turn-off.
The Fire and Rescue Service were also called to the collision which involved a Toyota car and a tractor and trailer.
The single occupant of the car was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital with what are believed to be serious head injuries.
Lane one was closed.
