Train Fire

North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service are currently in attendance at a train fire in Prestatyn Railway Station.

300 people have been evacuated from the Arriva Train Wales, which was travelling from Holyhead to Chester, following reports that the engine was on fire shortly before 6pm tonight (Tuesday 25 August)

Three appliances from Prestatyn, Rhyl and Colwyn Bay are tackling the blaze.

Both sides of the Holyhead to London track are currently closed and diversions are in place on the roads surrounding the railway station in Prestatyn.
