Traveline Cymru is encouraging holidaymakers to consider different travel options before bringing their car

TRAVELINE Cymru is trying to persuade people out of their cars this summer to miss the traffic, avoid parking problems and help reduce Wales’ carbon footprint.

Using public transport isn't an obvious choice if you're used to using your own car, however, you Traveline Cymru reckon you'll be surprised how quick and convenient travel by bus, coach or train is. To plan your journey by public transport in Wales, visit the www.traveline-cymru.info or call their staff on 0871 200 22 33.

Traveline Cymru’s website also gives journey-planning information like travel alerts, fare information and advice on car sharing, walking and cycling. The website also lists local events and attractions in Wales to help you plan your trip.

Traveline Cymru is keen to work with businesses to help them encourage tourists to leave their cars at home, as it it's not just individuals who can reap the benefits from reduced car travel. By offering travel information, accommodation providers and local attractions can free-up parking spaces at busy times and reduce their carbon footprint say Traveline Cymru.
