Visit Neath Port Talbot Website Launch

A new website has gone live to showcase tourism in Neath Port Talbot.

Called 'It's Time to Discover Neath Port Talbot' the new website can be found at It has been launched by Neath Port Talbot Council to inform visitors, both local and far afield, about what the county borough has to offer and where to go for the best things to see and do.

"There is an abundance of surprises waiting to be discovered around the county borough," says Council Leader Ali Thomas.

"The new Visit Neath Port Talbot' website is an excellent way to attract visitors."

To celebrate the launch, the Council has teamed up with Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, Call of the Wild and Forestry Commission Wales to give local tourism businesses the chance to get out and discover Neath Port Talbot for themselves.

"Special days are being organised over the next three months to take local businesses out and about to experience some of the most popular attractions for visitors," says Tourism Development Officer, Karleigh Davies.

"So often visitors only scratch the surface of the diverse beauty of Neath Port Talbot. By giving tourism operators the opportunity to discover for themselves they can recommend these venues from first hand experience.

"Hopefully it will encourage them to stay longer."

Stuart McManus, General Manager at the Aberavon Beach Hotel, welcomes the new website. Visit Neath Port Talbot is an informative website that gives visitors much needed information on things to do and places to visit in the area.

"It's great to see new websites like this developed to publicise the many attractions on offer in Neath Port Talbot."

Councillor Thomas added, "Tourism is a major part of the Council's commitment to regenerate valley communities.

"We can be proud of the spectacular county borough we live in and there is a huge welcome for visitors who come to see what a great place Neath Port Talbot is to visit."

Visitor figures for Afan Forest Park for last year topped 72,000 proving that tourism is helping the area look forward to a bright future.
