Vote for Newport's pub poet

I SUSPECT every Welsh pub has a poet lurking somewhere in the snug, like these potential poets on the left, but Newport's Stephen Morris has stepped out from the shadows of Newport's Dragonfly to enter the Bard of the Bar competition.

The South Wales Argus has an interview with Mr Morris, and you can do the patriotic and poetic thing by voting for him at organiser's Vintage Inns' website. You know it makes sense, we can't have Lancashire people thinking they're more lyrical than the Welsh can we now? Because that's how things currently stand!

Of course, we at Welsh Icons wish Stephen the best and hope he avoids the fate of our most famous pub poet.
