Pilot Food Waste Recycling Scheme

Over the coming months Pembrokeshire County Council will be piloting a kerbside food waste collection service, in order to meet its landfill diversion targets.

Currently, households in the County produce around 6,000 tonnes of food waste a year and all of it is sent to landfill. Not only is this extremely wasteful, it has a harmful effect on the environment with many greenhouse gases being produced. If your home is in one of the locations below and you have received an introductory flyer about the new Food Waste Collection service we would appreciate your participation in this pilot. In order to monitor the success of the pilot we have split the roll out into three phases.
