Body found in Newborough

North Wales Police have launched an investigation after a body of a man was found on the beach in Newborough, Anglesey this morning (Wednesday, 21st October).

Officers were alerted shortly after 11am by a member of the public.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

The body is in the process of being recovered and will be taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor, where a post mortem will be carried out.

The body is yet to be identified.

No further details are currently available.


UPDATE:
Following the discovery of a man’s body on the beach in Newborough on Anglesey this morning, a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

At present there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

Enquiries are ongoing with regards to the man’s identity.
