An appeal for witnesses and information is being made after a car was stolen from a lay-by on the A494.
Sometime between 11am and 3.45pm on Thursday, October 29th, a silver Vauxhall Zafira was stolen from a lay-by off the A494 at Llanferres in Denbighshire.
This is the second incident whereby a vehicle has been stolen from the same lay-by. On Monday, 19th October, a White Mercedes Sprinter Van was stolen, together with a caravan that was attached to it.
“The lay-by is very popular with visitors, who often leave their vehicles at the location all day to go walking,” said PC Mike Butlin.
“It is suspected that the people responsible may be using a vehicle recovery truck to steal the cars and I would ask anyone who sees anybody acting suspiciously in the area to call North Wales Police immediately.”
Anyone with information should contact PC 1417 Mike Butlin at Ruthin Police Station on 101, if you are calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
