Be safe on bonfire night urges Lesley

Lesley Griffiths AM has urged families across Wrexham, to follow the firework code and stay safe at displays this week.

Commenting, Lesley said:

“Guy Fawkes Night is always a great occasion for all families to enjoy but everyone knows the dangers of fireworks.

“I ask anyone involved in a display to take care when handling fireworks and stay a safe distance.

“I would also ask all shop owners to be vigilant when selling fireworks to members of the public.

"Fireworks must not be sold to anyone who is under 18 by law and they cannot be carried in a public place.

“The police can fine those who cause disturbance late at night, let off fireworks in the street and fine people who carry fireworks in public.”
