Don't stop 'til you get enough ... drawing, that is

It'll be like Saturday Night Fever all over again ... with an added hint of Picasso.

This Saturday (Oct 31), Swansea's Glynn Vivian Art Gallery is due to host its very own Drawing Disco.

Curator Jenni Spencer Davies said: "This fun, energetic event will allow our visitors to dance and draw. No previous experience is necessary and first time drawers of all ages are very welcome!"

Drawing Disco sessions will be held this Saturday (October 31) from 11am-12.30pm and 1-4.30pm.

They are part of the gallery's programme to celebrate UK-wide art campaign The Big Draw. The month-long season of activities encourages people of all ages and abilities to experiment with drawing.

The city centre Glynn Vivian, run by Swansea Council, has arranged a special Big Draw half-term.

It is putting on a selection of unique art and storytelling workshops, led by artists. The attractions include Drawing in the Dark, Storytelling and Drawing in 3D.

Jenni Spencer Davies said: "No experience is necessary, just an eager mind and a creative enthusiasm.

"The gallery will be a exciting place this week - we've already had a positive response from people who've attended our new workshop and events programme."
