Newport Protests

Gwent Police estimate that around 300 demonstrators have attended today’s protest which has been good natured with a carnival like atmosphere.

Gwent police are grateful to the organisers of the protest for helping to organise a peaceful event. Around 50 officers from Newport Neighbourhood policing team have been policing the square.
