The all-weather RNLI lifeboat towed the vessel to the safety of Holyhead Marina. At 3am on Sunday morning, the inshore and all-weather RNLI lifeboats from Holyhead were launched following reports that the same vessel had collided with the outer harbour wall.
The volunteer RNLI crew found the eight metre power boat high and dry on the harbour wall. The inshore RNLI lifeboat crew took the male and female off the boat for their own safety. The lifeboat crew then had to wait for the tide to turn before they could attempt to re-float the vessel. The towed the vessel back to Holyhead Marina.
Ray Steadman RNLI Lifeboat Press Officer for Holyhead says:
'The very calm weather conditions most definitely helped during this rescue which was co-ordinated by Holyhead Coastguard.'
