Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a non-stop road traffic collision in Gwynedd.
At approx. 2:30pm on Sunday, 20th September, a vehicle, described as being a large silver Mercedes, was travelling along the A499 in Clynnog Fawr, towards the direction of Pwllheli, when a collision occurred with an oncoming grey VW Passat.
The Mercedes failed to stop, and continued on its journey.
Sergeant Neil Hughes said: “This could have been a potentially serious incident. The Mercedes that failed to stop would have substantial and obvious drivers’ side damage and police are appealing for garage proprietors, who have recently been approached to repair any similar vehicles or any other witnesses to come forward."
The driver was uninjured but left shocked by the incident. The Passat had substantial offside panel and wing damage.
Anyone who may have information should contact officers at Caernarfon Police Station on 101, if you are calling from Wales, or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line), 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
