A community safety event was held at Penally village hall on 30th September at 7pm.
The Tenby Neighbourhood Policing Team gave advice to residents in the community in relation to bogus callers, crime prevention and neighbourhood policing. Mark Jones from community safety gave a talk regarding the Bobby Van scheme, a video was shown relating to distraction burglaries.
Lee Simmons from the fire service also gave advice on home safety.
The event was well attended and will now be published in the crows nest monthly newsletter for Penally.
Neighbourhood watch was also mentioned anyone wishing to get involved to contact PCSO Goodland at Tenby police station via 101.
Following the success of the event a trial Neighbourhood Policing Surgery to be held in the village hall back room on Wednesday 21st October between 2:30-3:30pm, if this deems to be successful then they will run on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 2:30-3:30pm.
