Newport goes book mad

This year’s Big Read takes place at The Riverfront Theatre in Newport, on Wednesday 28 October 2009 between 9.30 and 4.30pm and tickets are now half price.

Whether you want to learn how to get your work published, how to create book illustrations or discover how to make your own characters for stories, there will be something new for all ages.

Activities include workshops in Creative Writing, Arts and Crafts, Storytelling and Poetry and talks from authors such as Lynne Barrett-Lee, Niall Griffiths, Phil Carradice, Peter Finch, Trevor Fishlock, Bernard Knight, Dai Smith and local up-and-coming talent Mathew Scott.

Tickets are now £4 instead of £8 for Adults, £2.50 instead of £5 for children under 16 and free for children under three. There is also a family ticket option, which is £10 instead of £20 for two adults and two children.
