Update regarding the incident whereby a man was assaulted in Rhuddlan on Friday, 16th October:
Police can confirm that a man was arrested yesterday and charged last night in connection with the incident.
34-year-old Leighton John Kenny, who is from the Prestatyn area, has been charged with grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has been remanded to appear before Prestatyn Magistrates this morning.
The 37-year-old victim remains in a stable condition at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and are particularly keen on speaking to anyone who may have seen a black Renault Clio on the High Street in Rhuddlan on Friday evening to contact them.
